45033 at Skegness (1981)

On Monday 17th August 1981, and for the following three days, 45033 worked the 1E86 0851 Leicester to Skegness and return 1M22 1853 to Leicester.

It is illustrated at the Carriage Sidings in Skegness after working 1E86, having reversed there from the station. 45033 has already been detached, and is in the process of using a parallel siding. After which it will be attached to the other end of the train and reversed into the station ready for the evening 1M22 departure.

45033, then based at Toton, entered service at Derby on 20th July 1961 as D39. It was withdrawn on 4th February 1988, and cut up at MC Metals of Springburn on 10th February 1992.

The carriage M35278 is a Mk1 Brake Corridor Second which was built by Gloucester RCW in 1960.
