25173 at Skegness (1985)

Skegness on Wednesday 21st August 1985, and the very last class 25 to reach the terminus. 25173 worked in as the 1E04 0939 Long Eaton to Skegness Relief. Here it is seen stabled on platform 5 before returning as the 1Z98 1835 Relief to Nottingham.

Built at Derby Works, it entered service on 12th January 1965 as D7523, and was withdrawn on 19th March 1987. It is now preserved and currently located on the Battlefield Line.
