"Flying Scotsman"

The "Flying Scotsman" locomotive has, to date, visited the East Lincolnshire Main Line on four occaisions. The first took place on Saturday October 21st 1967 when it hauled the Lincolnshire Standard Group's "The Standard Flyer". The 11 carriage special ran ftom Grimsby (Town) to London (King's Cross). The "Jolly Push-Pull Fisherman" (1994)

The very first appearance of Class 33 locomotives at Skegness took place on Saturday 8th January 1994, when 33109 and 33116 worked the Hertfordshire Railtours "Jolly Push-Pull Fisherman" from Waterloo. It was intended to be 2 x 4TC sets, but one had developed a fault and had been removed from the consist.
